10-year-old Orion Jean from Fort Worth, Texas, already won a 2020 student kindness contest and award. But isn’t letting the kinds stop there. Little Orion is currently having a book drive now through the end of August. He’s already collected over 120,000 books so far and he’s asking me, you and people across the country to donate our used books to help him reach his goal of 500,000 books so that he can donate them to other kids.
Of his efforts to collect books and donate them to kids, Orion tells CBS News,
“I want to be able to share my love of literacy with as many people as possible. Even just for a moment, to go into a new story or a new world and go to places, and meet people they never would have.”
